Latest (206) telemarketer numbers. (206 278 0009) TV SURVEY, (206 278 0028) Eyewitness, (206 415 8739) is really Coast to Coast Marketing (619 279 7460), (thanks Steve Hess), (206 278 8978) BANCOFAINS is Bank of America Insurance, (206 278 9169) Markata Group, (214 446 1900) (214 446 1901) Markata Group, (214 446 1600) Markata Group, (214 446 1608) K&V Surveys, (214 446 1922) 42 Holdings, (214 446 1978) Data Marketing, (206 278 9010) Health Benefits, (269 537 2033) GCI (269 537 2031) GCI (616 980 2910) GCI (231 224 2009) GCI.
The Markata Group calls are a fake automated survey (about the government).Messages do not include a callback number which is a TCPA violation. K&V Surveys, 42 Holdings, and Data Marketing are probably all fake names for the same fake company. These surveys may be a way for telemarketers to find good numbers. Check out azurelunatic for more info.
Bank of America is just trying to sell insurance. The number is valid and they will put you on their DNC when you call back. Make sure you complain about their telemarketing when you call. If you have an account threaten to cancel it. Remember, the "established business relationship" that allows them to get around the DNC is canceled once you ask to be put on their internal DNC list.
(231 224 2009) GCI is an illegal recorded message "to lower credit card rates". This may be from Guardian Communications (309 277 1222).
For more examples of the ongoing battle with (206) telemarketers visit my (206 278 9390/ 206 415 8940...) thread at antitelemarketer.com. This site is down right now (11/23/05) hopefully they will pay their bills and be back.

Antitelemarketer.com is down but I checked their cached site and (304 877 2950) is telemarketer Global Contact Services (304 877 0427). File a complaint with the FCC or your state Attorney General.You could call them and ask to be put on their DNC list.
Thanks dnc, sorry about antitelemarketer.com. Maybe Mobbs knew more about computers than we thought.Of course any regulars are welcome to post here. Glad telemarketerFAQ is ok. If you know anything about these (206) calls I sure could use some help.
Crap. We are not only on the "do not call" list, but we also have the "you have reached a number that does not accept..." phone company recording _before_ calls ring through.

Well, I have been getting calls from 304-877-2950 as well. 2-3 times a day. Each time I answer, there is no answer, no matter how long I hang on. I have called back and I get what sounds like a normal answering machine. I have filed a complaint with the FCC, unfortunately I did not realize the number I have currently was not registered on the nat'l DNC list (I thought I had registered it).
Well, I have decided to just press buttons until they give up. But today I actually stopped after about 20 seconds and heard someone on the other end. Needles to say I provided a few choice words out of irritation, but apologized later.
Anyhow... here is some info that might help everyone in the future...
The TSR indicated he worked for Global Contact (as the caller ID stated) and was calling on behalf of Washington Mutual (I am a cardholder, and this brings up a whole new issue of selling information, which they were partially in trouble for in the past, a reason that at one point their stock was worth mere pennies). He started to go into a schpiel about a gas voucher and I stopped him.
The additional info I received is that the center he was calling from was in Mt. Hope, WV (near where I went to school for a short period of time) and that they were hired by the "National Unions Fire Insurance Company". THEIR number is 800-421-6310. I am sure there are other companies that hire them, aside from WAMU, but hopefully this info helps others with filing complaints.

I received a call from 304-877-2950, asked for DOB and she said she is calling on behalf of WAMU and regarding Accidental insurance coverage. I did not give enough info. I called back in the # she gave 800-421-6310 and it was AIG insurance. Call was not fraud but marketing
